As a child in Bosnia, my mother, Anna Rosic, would read me stories about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel. I fell in love with that world — the art, the ceiling, the beauty. From that moment, I dreamed of one day painting my own Sistine Chapel.
But life changed.
The Civil War hit. Our family escaped to Germany, where we lived as refugees until 1997.
From there, we moved to the United States as our third country — a new place, a new language, and a new beginning.
With the support of my parents, Jacky and Anna, our family worked hard to rebuild our life. Years later, after finally finding the right building, I fulfilled my childhood dream:
I recreated the Sistine Chapel using only spray paint.
This artwork went viral worldwide on TV, newspapers and media and brought people from everywhere to see it with their own eyes.
Today, Cappella Magna stands as a testament to our journey — from Bosnia, to Germany, to America — and to the love, sacrifice, and resilience of our family. Everything here was built by our hands, our struggle, and our belief that beauty can rise from any place.
